Food is very good, fresh and tasty, employees are always very helpful and hard-working, the restaurant is always clean, both inside and outside and the self serve counter inside of tue restaurant is awesome! One of the best features is the self serve beverage area. All you can drink including the best horchata anywhere

Bomb. I had the super Mulita with carnitas and a sope with pollo. SO DELICIOUS. I love how clean this place is. Sauces, onions & cilantro, etc are individually wrapped. Service was great too!

My new go-to for quesadillas!! I FINALLY gave this place a try after passing by this place at least once weekly for years now. The super chicken quesadilla is soooooo good!!! The chicken is so tender, not burnt, and the flavor is amazing!! Not too salty and the portion is very decent for $10! The service was also super fast! 2-3 mins tops around 3pm on a Sunday. There was only one car in front of me in the drive thru. The only thing is I wish they used paper plates I instead of plastic. They gave me a lot of napkins and sauces. Love that there's also chopped up onion packets! The staff was also super friendly when I asked for recs. Will definitely be coming back!

My only regret about my visit yesterday 08/24/2024 is that I didn't take photos of the burritos and the condiments. We had a gathering at my mother's house who lives nearby and she stepped out to buy us lunch from here. I see this restaurant every time I exit the freeway but honestly, I didn't realize how amazing it was! The food here was absolutely amazing! I knew I was into something very special when I saw how amazing the burritos were wrapped. Not only that, the condiments, cilantro and onions came in little vacuum sealed packages, I have never seen that before! It was the best touch ever, very creative. The burritos, rice and beans were delicious, flavored just perfectly, I ate every single bite! If anyone asks me which taco place is my favorite, hands down I will say Tacos Gavilan! Thank you:)

I can't believe this is my first time eating at this location! I mean, I've had them before but it was in LA but to finally come here personally, is different. The salsa bar was well-stocked with a variety of green and red salsas, ranging from mild to hot, along with cilantro, onions, and lemon wedges that were also packaged and neatly laid out nicely for you to grab. Carne asada tacos were good. Overall, I come back!

My daughter and Yelp friend AdtianaO, I were in the area and we decided to stop by and check out Tacos Gavilan, for late tacos before heading back to HB. Tacos Gavilan is located off Azusa Ave, in the city of West Covina right off the E 10 Freeway. Aka SGV I ordered the the sope - the corn base was light and fried to perfection. It was topped with a layer of fried beans, chicken, cream and a layer of cojica cheese. I was surprised it didn't have lettuce tomato, onions on top like most other places. My daughter ordered the taco plate w/rice and beans. We even ordered 2 plain Carne Asada tacos for our dog Hercules - he liked his tacos too! The service was fast - they delivered our to-go order pretty fast. The building reminds me of an In-N-Out - the indoor dining area is relatively big with a large counter and is very clean as well. They do have an area for their - condiments their salsa, pickled carrots ect. We ordered through the drive- thru - it was well lit and easy to see their digital menu board -which has a lot of awesome options to choose from. I will say that not many places have Sopes on their menu any more, and that's the reason I gave them a try. Party flavors in my mouth and would definitely reorder. The service was friendly when placing our order and it was ready pretty fast at the next window. I would definitely try their other options if I ever come across another Tacos Gavilan! If you are in the area give them a try I bet you will like them! * private parking so lots of parking spaces is well lit and clean.

This is my first time at Tacos Gavilan and I was really impressed with how fast the service was along with how clean the inside/outside of the restaurant is too. There is plenty of seating inside and a handful of tables outside, but we choose to go thru the drive through to place our order. The digital drive thru menu was well lit and very clear, we ordered a super chicken burrito, a carne asada taco and a chicken taco plate with rice. I really liked how the condiments are prepackaged, so you can avoid a mess going anywhere/everywhere - genius! The super burrito was my favorite as it had deliciously seasoned chicken with cheese, beans, rice and avocado. The rice by itself wasn't my favorite, but In the burrito, it was delicious! I enjoyed the chicken taco meat but the corn tortillas were a little too greasy for my liking. We'll see next time I'm in the area, maybe I'll order a quesadilla or something else that's delicious off the menu
